The Poco X7 line, which consists of three models—the Poco X7, X7 Pro (which we reviewed), and the X7 Pro Iron Man Edition—has been introduced by Poco worldwide. According to reports, the X7 Pro is a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4, which is only available in China. However, Poco has still made some internal adjustments.

Similar to the Redmi Turbo 4, the phone is powered by the Dimensity 8400 Ultra (vs Snapdragon 8s Gen 3) chip. For quicker loading times and more fluid operation in demanding apps and games, this is combined with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

Poco’s “WildBoost Optimization 3.0” has several advantages, such as better network connections that use AI for antenna selection and provides a more reliable connection, smart performance scheduling, and improved game audio that gives a competitive edge in specific situations.

Regarding software, Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 custom skin, which is based on Android 15, powers the X7 Pro. Curiously, this contrasts with the base model, which runs HyperOS, which is based on Android 14.

The Pro model has a flat design, in contrast to the standard model, which you can read more about here. The phone weighs 198g and has a thickness of 8.3mm. Additionally, this phone has “Super Resolution Rendering,” which probably alludes to the upscaling capability.

Poco uses a 5000mm2 loop pump VC cooling system, known as the POCO 3D IceLoop system, to maintain performance. For accurate monitoring, all of this is combined with an advanced temperature management system that has ten temperature sensors.

A 6.67-inch, 1.5K flat AMOLED display on the front—the same size as the standard model—can reach a global peak brightness of 1400 nits and a local peak brightness of 3200 nits. The imaging system consists of an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP IMS 882 primary sensor, which has a resolution of 1/1.95.

Additionally, the phone now has an IP68 dust and water resistance classification, up from its previous IP54 rating. The Pro model has a larger 6000mAh battery for longer gaming sessions instead of the annoying 2MP macro camera. In addition, it supports 90W wired charging. The X7 Pro provides Indian users with a larger 6,550mAh battery, much as the base model.
