One significant component was noticeably missing from Porsche’s third-generation Cayenne update that took place a year ago. The improved twin-turbo V8, more responsive suspension, sportier styling cues, and a slew of new standard amenities are all there in the 2025 Cayenne GTS, which now returns in both standard and coupe body varieties.
In the Cayenne lineup, the GTS (Gran Turismo Sport) strikes a balance between a driver-focused configuration and useful everyday use. It is not as incredibly powerful as the Turbo S E-Hybrid or as track-focused as the Turbo GT.
The heavily modified twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, which now produces 493 horsepower (367 kW / 500 PS) and 487 lb-ft (660 Nm) of torque, is the standout feature of the facelifted model. This is a respectable 40 horsepower (29 kW) and 30 lb-ft (40 Nm) gain over the previous Cayenne GTS, but the Cayenne S, which has a 468 horsepower (474 PS / 349 kW) version of the same engine, is kept well apart.
The eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, which is only available with the twin-turbo V8, distributes power to all four wheels via the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system. Like the Turbo GT configuration, the PTM system has a separate cooling circuit to increase longevity when driven aggressively.
The Cayenne GTS can now accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour (0 to 96 km/h) in 4.2 seconds and achieve a high speed of 171 mph (275 km/h) thanks to a small boost in power.
With its GTS-specific arrangement, the conventional two-chamber air suspension with adjustable dampers sits 10 mm (0.4 inches) lower than the normal models. The larger negative camper of the front wheels—which use Turbo GT pivot bearings—further enhances handling. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus comes standard, although the active roll stabilization system (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control) is optional.
New Gear and a More Aggressive Appearance
While retaining the revised Cayenne lineup’s revamped components, the GTS adds unique accents for a subtly sporty appearance. Notably, tinted lighting units are paired with bumper intakes exclusive to the GTS that are reminiscent of those on the Turbo GT. The rear and doors are adorned with subtle GTS logos, and the tailpipes’ dark bronze finish lends an air of refinement.
The standard-fit Sport Design Package’s high-gloss black highlights, which replace the body-colored trim of previous GTS models, further accentuate the sporty posture.
The Cayenne GTS’s external design is completed with a pair of 21-inch anthracite-finished RS Spyder Design alloy wheels and red brake calipers. The Cayenne GTS Coupe has an adjustable rear spoiler for more dynamism. Customers can also choose from three different Lightweight Sport Packages, which can cut weight by up to 55 pounds (25 kg), improving performance even more.
Now let’s talk about the interior. Porsche used a lot of Race Tex material together with leather and red stitching for the upholstery. The GTS has the optional passenger display, a new infotainment display, and a revised curved digital instrument cluster, just like the other facelifted Cayenne models. Among other features, the Bose Surround System is also included as standard.
