It seems that rumors about Samsung’s Fan Edition series are still making their way around the tech giant on a daily basis. There is smoke, from claims about the brand-new Galaxy Buds FE to leaked marketing images of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE. Usually, where there is smoke, there is also fire. The most recent information on the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE includes reports about a processor we didn’t think would be inside the smartphone as well as some pricing details.
MySmartPrice estimates that the Galaxy S23 FE’s American debut price will be $599. This is the first trustworthy rumor we’ve heard regarding its price to date, and if it proves to be accurate, it will be less expensive than the Fan Edition smartphone did when it was first introduced almost two years ago.
The Galaxy S21 FE would have cost you $699, but Samsung has reduced the price of its Fan Edition smartphones by $100 between versions. For more reference, the basic Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra each cost $800, $1,000, and $1,200, respectively. In the US, two Galaxy S23 FEs would cost the same as one Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Furthermore, according to information we had seen from SamMobile, we had initially claimed in July that the Galaxy S23 FE will probably feature the Exynos 2200 chipset globally. According to the most recent article from MySmartPrice, Samsung will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the US and Canada while the Exynos 2200 will power the Galaxy S23 FE in the majority of other markets.
This is an important part of news. We don’t like the Exynos 2200 very much because it performs poorly when compared to the Qualcomm processor and runs hot. In contrast, the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is a reliable component. There is little doubt as to which processor would perform better if the Galaxy S23 FE uses both.
A major news leak, if you want to call it that, occurred a few days ago and came straight from Samsung Argentina, giving the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and Galaxy Buds FE an October 4 release date. We have to assume that Samsung will make an announcement for the announcement very soon given how soon the Galaxy S23 FE’s debut may be. When Samsung does decide to speak, we expect that all the currently suspected Fan Edition smartphones will be announced. We have been awaiting the FE line’s impending relaunch for a few years now since it last made a comeback.
