The official launch date of the iQoo Z9 Turbo in China has been confirmed. In the last few weeks, a number of details regarding the impending phone have leaked online. Recently, iQoo also unveiled the phone’s design. The expected model will be available alongside the iQoo Z9 5G, which made its debut in India in March of this year. It is currently unknown when the iQoo Z9 Turbo will launch in India. It is confirmed that the phone will run on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
The iQoo Z9 Turbo will make its debut in China on April 24 at 7 p.m. local time (4:30 p.m. IST), according to a Weibo post from iQoo. The phone’s landing page on the iQoo China website has also been updated with the same information.
Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC has been verified to power the iQoo Z9 Turbo before. At debut, it will have a 1.5K 144Hz display and a 6,000mAh battery. The thickness of the handset will be 7.89mm. Additionally, it will have a dual rear camera setup with support for OIS on the primary sensor.
In the meantime, a silver colorway with a glossy finish has been hinted to for the iQoo Z9 Turbo. In the upper left corner of the back, a squarish camera module with rounded sides contains two camera sensors. Beside this module that is somewhat elevated, there is an oval LED flash unit placed vertically. On the right side of the phone are the volume rockers and power button.
It is expected that the iQoo Z9 Turbo would include a flat 6.78-inch OLED display, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor. It might feature 80W wired fast charging and come with 12GB and 16GB RAM options. Additionally, it is expected that the device would have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
