The Vivo S20 series, which includes the Vivo S20 and S20 Pro models, has been introduced in China. Common characteristics of the new smartphones include dual-SIM support, a 50-megapixel primary camera, and 1.5K AMOLED screens with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Vivo S20 and S20 Pro are equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and are IP64-rated to prevent dust and water intrusion.

The cost of the Vivo S20 and S20 Pro

The base 8GB + 256GB Vivo S20 model costs CNY 2,299, or around Rs. 27,000, at launch. There are four different versions of it, with the most expensive 16GB + 512GB model costing CNY 2,999, or around Rs. 35,000.

The 12GB + 256GB model of the Vivo S20 Pro costs CNY 3,399, in contrast. Additionally, 16GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB versions are offered. Pre-orders for both phones are open in China as of right now.

Specifications of the Vivo S20 and S20 Pro

A 6.67-inch (1260 x 2800 pixel) 1.5K AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a maximum brightness of 5,000 nits, and compatibility for HDR10+ is featured in both Vivo S20 series devices. The Pro model has a quad-curved panel, while the standard model has a flat display. OriginOS 5, which is based on Android 15, powers both phones.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage power the Vivo S20. A MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC, Arm’s Immortalis-G720 GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, on the other hand, power the Vivo S20 Pro.

The Vivo S20’s optics include a dual rear camera unit that includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 50-megapixel OV50E sensor. A 50-megapixel front-facing selfie camera is also included. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 telephoto sensor with three times optical zoom make up the triple rear camera configuration found on the Vivo S20 Pro. The selfie camera is identical to that of the base model.

The phones have an in-display fingerprint sensor, an aura light, an IP64 water and dust resistance rating, and support for both nano and nano SIM cards. The phones have Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, and NFC for communication.

A 6,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging powers the Vivo S20. It weighs 186g and has dimensions of 160.35×74.18×7.19mm. The Vivo S20 Pro weighs 193g and has dimensions of 160.56×75.02×7.43mm. It has a 5,500mAh battery that supports 90W rapid charging.
