At Apple Park in California, a small group of developers will attend an in-person keynote event to kick off WWDC 2024. The event will also be streamed live globally via the company’s YouTube channel, the Apple website, the Apple Developer app, and the Apple TV app. The start time of the keynote is 10 a.m. PDT (10:30 p.m. IST).

At 1:30 a.m. IST on Tuesday, Apple will also broadcast its Platforms State of the Union live via the Apple Developer website and app, giving enthusiasts and developers a preview of new features that will be included in the company’s upcoming operating system updates.

Following the WWDC 2024 keynote address and Platforms State of the Union, over 100 technical sessions featuring Apple designers, engineers, and other professionals will be held during Apple’s developer conference. For three days at Apple Park, the company will host 50 Distinguished Winners of the annual Swift Student Challenge. As per the company, these winners will take part in exclusive events that will take place during the week of WWDC 2024.

At WWDC 2024, Apple will also be expected to announce the winners of its yearly Apple Design Awards. The Apple Developer app and website have revealed this year’s candidates, and Apple promises to reveal the winners shortly.

What to Expect from WWDC 2024:

Apple is expected to reveal information about its next operating system improvements, iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, at WWDC 2024. VisionOS 2, tvOS 18, macOS 15, and watchOS 11. According to recent rumors, Apple is reportedly working on a number of operating system enhancements, including more customization options for the iOS user interface.

Additionally, it is expected that the business will roll out new AI technologies for its operating systems, and Siri may receive an update with new features. In order to incorporate chatbot capability on iOS 18, which is supposed to provide both on-device and cloud-based AI functionality, the business was in talks with OpenAI and Google.
