BMW recently provided dealers with a look into the future at a dealer event it held in Las Vegas. Over the next five years, the business plans to release about 40 new or revised models, so it looks like they have a lot to look forward to.
News, who spoke with a number of vendors after the two-day event, claims that. According to the report, participants saw a variety of forthcoming cars, such as the revamped X3 and X5, as well as the new 2-Series Gran Coupe.
The X3 is expected to make a more significant presence when it arrives in the US later this year. Conversely, the X5 is expected to have a “mean” appearance, which is said to have X-shaped daytime running lights.
The M5 Touring, which is expected to produce over 700 horsepower (522 kW / 710 PS), was also demonstrated to dealers. That is to be expected, as the model will likely carry the XM Label and is equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a lithium-ion battery pack. The crossover can produce a combined 738 horsepower (550 kW / 748 PS) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque with this configuration.
The carmaker is said to have unveiled “next-generation electric sedan and crossover concepts” in addition to the impending Mini Aceman. Although there aren’t many details available, the company has just unveiled a crossover concept and is getting ready to release a range of Neue Klasse EVs.
The Aceman will be unveiled later this month, according to plans. However, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has previously released images of the model, which show off a chic crossover with edgy styling and plastic body cladding.
It is anticipated that the model, which would sit underneath the Countryman, will come with a variety of electric drivetrain options. The S model may have a larger 54.2 kWh battery and an improved power of 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS), while the entry-level form may have a 40.7 kWh battery pack with an 181 hp (135 kW / 184 PS) engine.
