The first BMW X5 SUV rolled off the Spartanburg, South Carolina, production line 25 years ago. As with every other 25-year anniversary, BMW is giving a gift of silver to commemorate that achievement. the 2025 BMW X5 Silver Anniversary edition, which is a limited edition model with unique paint and components from both the X5 Sport and M Sport packages.
Unique Look
The X5 anniversary special distinguishes itself from the base model with a number of cosmetic upgrades. The car’s significance is marked with a silver anniversary badge located on the rear tailgate, and the exterior is painted in Lime Rock Grey BMW Individual paint.
The special edition combines visual cues from the Sport and M Sport designs, despite being based on the X5 xDrive40i. BMW decided not to install the more aggressive rocker panels and front and rear bumpers from the M Sport option, but they did install the longer Shadowline trim, which darkens the trim around the kidney grille and on the roof rails. To further emphasize the silver theme, the special edition also uses the 20-inch bi-color wheels from the M Sport.
Customers may select between black, cognac, coffee, or gray upholstery colors as part of the jubilee offer. BMW typically reserves carbon-fiber for the M variants of the X5, but in this case, a special Silver Anniversary plaque is mounted on the console.
Specialized xOffroad Package
The xOffroad option, which BMW does not presently offer on any other SUV, mechanically distinguishes the Silver Anniversary edition from the rest of the X5 lineup. The off-road kit has underbody protection, a mechanically locking rear differential, and air suspension on both axles. The special version also includes all-weather floor mats, a baggage compartment mat, and a roof rack as extras.
BMW is only planning to produce about 1000 units of the milestone edition. Starting in August, manufacture of the Silver Anniversary edition will be priced at $81,075 in total.
