The positive momentum didn’t stop there. On the following day, Laila Majnu experienced a dramatic surge in earnings, with a reported 200% increase in collections, bringing in an additional 75 lakh. This impressive jump pushed the film’s total gross past the 1 crore mark. According to Sacnilk, expectations for Sunday’s performance were even higher, with predictions indicating that the film could achieve a total of 2 crores in gross collections over the course of its opening weekend.

With the impending release of other much-anticipated films, including the sequel to the horror-comedy Stree, Khel Khel Mein, and Vedaa on August 15, Laila Majnu has only a limited window to surpass its original box office total of 3.25 crores. However, given the renewed interest and enthusiasm from audiences, it seems increasingly likely that the film will achieve this goal. Should it succeed, Laila Majnu would make history as the first Hindi film to earn more in a re-release than during its initial theatrical run, marking a significant achievement in its cinematic journey.
