The ZenBook 14 Air notebook, from ASUS, is currently available for pre-order at a price of 8999 Yuan (~$1268). It will go on sale on September 24 at 0:00. At just 1.1cm thick and 1.15kg in weight, this laptop is incredibly thin and light. It also features a single-piece, CNC-milled metal body with a concealed hinge for a minimalistic look. There are two color options available for the machine: Mountain Gray and Snow White.

A 14-inch 2.8K (2880×1800) 120Hz Lumina OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz will be displayed to users. It supports 10-bit color depth, has a peak brightness of 600 nits, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, a response time of 0.2 ms, and covers 133% sRGB and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

In order to guarantee eye comfort, the display panel also receives TUV Rheinland hardware-level low blue light, flicker-free, and SGS Eye Care certification. The front camera has a 1080p resolution, and the touchpad is 5.9 inches.

With an 8-core, 8-thread Intel Core Ultra 7-258V processor that can reach a maximum turbo frequency of 4.8GHz and integrated second-generation Xe core graphics, the computer has impressive performance specs. With a total AI computational capability of 115 TOPS, this chipset offers the greatest AI performance. As a point of comparison, the Hexagon NPU of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite receives 45 TOPS.

This is combined with a 1TB PCIe SSD and 32GB LPDDR5x 8533MT/s RAM. This laptop has a TDP of 28W and uses two fans, ultra-thin vapor chambers, and a geometric grille design for cooling.

According to the official information, the laptop offers a quiet and efficient performance that “seamlessly adapts to any task”. The company says that the machine maintains a noise level below 25dB during light workloads thanks to its smart cooling technology. The air vent is also reportedly designed to prevent dust particles from getting inside.

Interestingly, the 72Wh battery within this 1.1cm thick laptop has a maximum runtime of about 22 hours.
