The top-tier Superior grade (ex-showroom) of the eMax 7 electric MPV is priced at Rs. 29.90 lakh, while the base Premium variant starts at Rs. 26.90 lakh, according to BYD India. Both trim levels come in six- and seven-seater versions; the latter is Rs. 60,000 more expensive than the former.

In the upcoming weeks, customer deliveries of the BYD eMax 7, which is essentially the facelifted e6 that is already available for purchase in Indonesia under the name M6, will begin in India. The biggest EV manufacturer in the world has upgraded the inside and made cosmetic improvements in comparison to the previous model.

There are four exterior color options: Quartz Blue, Crystal White, Harbour Grey, and Cosmos Black. The newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels are visible from the sides, and the front fascia receives an upgraded headlight cluster and redesigned bumper with more chrome. Redesigned LED tail lamps and an upgraded bumper are shown on the back.

Upgrades to the cabin include a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a redesigned center console, new surface finishes and trims, a 360-degree camera system, Level 2 ADAS, powered and ventilated front seats, a five-inch LCD instrument console, a panoramic glass roof, all four disc brakes, and more.

Performance-wise, the top-tier Superior trim has a larger 71.8 kWh battery with a higher range of 530 km per charge, while the Premium variant uses a 55.4 kWh battery pack with a NEDC range of 420 km on a single charge. The Superior version’s more potent electric motor generates 204 horsepower and 310 Nm, while the Premium trim’s e-motor generates 163 horsepower and 310 Nm.

With a stated top speed of 180 kmph, the BYD eMax 7 is equipped with a 7 kW AC charger as default. Other notable features include the capacity to charge two batteries at the same time, a standard eight-year or 1.6 lakh km battery warranty, and an eight-year or 1.5 lakh km warranty for the electric motors used.
