Didi Wong is a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, mentor, international award-winning speaker, best-selling author, and mother of four whose passion is women empowerment. Born in Hong Kong, raised in England, and now living in Los Angeles, Wong herself has a special link to the Eastern and Western parts of the world.
“Right now is such a ground-breaking time to be a woman in America. History was made with the last election when Kamala Harris, who’s both a woman and a minority, became Vice President. There’s no better person, who has such a connection with the East and West, to represent our country,” says Wong.
“I value inclusion and diversity. It’s one of the reasons I’m the President of the Los Angeles branch of the Women Economic Forum, which has over 1000 chapters across 150 different countries. I love how the Women Economic Forum connects the women of the West and East. The Women Economic Forum’s headquarters is in New Delhi, headed by someone very near and dear to me called Dr. Harbeen Arora whom I call my “earth angel” and every year they host the forum there, although in 2020, it was held in Egypt!. I love the food, culture, and fashion of India. Their everyday style is so extravagant,” says Wong.
“The Forum hosts conferences across the globe including places like Italy, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Costa Rica, and even Los Angeles. I’m planning the next one now, so stay tuned for details,” says Wong.
“The reason why I love the Women Economic Forum is that it provides me with the opportunity to connect with women from around the world. I love working to inspire women to become businesswomen to create inclusion and diversity in entrepreneurship, which is so important in our culture right now,” says Wong.
Wong holds a long list of recognitions and accomplishments in the realm of women entrepreneurship. Some of her major accomplishments are:
● Receiving the “Woman of the Decade” Award in Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital from the Women Economic Forum…
● Being featured in Oprah Magazine’s as the “Woman Who Means Business” in 2019…
● Receiving the “Recognition & Excellence” Award from the Egyptian Government of the WEF’s National Council of Women…

● And MORE!
“It’s one of my goals to inspire women to be bold and confident in themselves. I want every woman to know that she matters and her voice is meant to be heard. That’s one of the key reasons I love working as a keynote speaker. Because when I’m up on stage speaking, I’m showing women that it’s okay to stand tall, be bold, and reach for greatness,” says Wong.
