Honor is finally launching its incredibly thin Magic V2 foldable in Europe and the UK today, following its July 2023 debut in China.
The hardware of the Honor Magic V2 is its main selling point. When folded up, the book-style foldable is just 9.9mm thin, making it the thinnest currently available on the market. That makes it 2-4 mm thinner than other book-style foldables on the market today and somewhat thicker than the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The 7.92-inch inner and 6.43-inch outer displays of the Honor Magic V2 are both present. Both measure in at 2344×2156 and 2376×1060, respectively, and are capable of 120Hz. The entire package is only 4.7mm thin when opened, and the internal display accepts stylus input. The hinge has a 400,000 fold rating.
However, the Magic V2 doesn’t have the most recent specs because it was only released in July. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 16GB of RAM powers the foldable. Nonetheless, the camera configuration is good, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 20MP telephoto sensor. Between the inner and exterior displays are two 16MP selfie cameras.
The V2 is really tiny, but it has a 5,000 mAh battery.
When the Honor Magic V2 is released in Europe, it will cost €1,999. It is therefore at the premium end of the foldable market. For comparison, the 256GB edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 costs €1,899 in Europe. The price for the UK will be £1,699.99, and the colors for both areas will be black and purple.
In addition, Honor is introducing the “PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR” in Europe, which sports a fresh design and a “Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield.” Although the model’s price and official release date have not yet been disclosed, it has been available in China for some time.
