On Monday, China launched a fresh batch of four satellites into space as part of the Tianmu-1 weather network.
At 9:00 a.m. Beijing Time, a Kuaizhou-1A carrier rocket carrying the No. 11, 12, 13, and 14 satellites lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center located in northwest China.
These satellites are going to be used to deliver meteorological data services for a fee. They have successfully reached their designated orbit.
On January 9, Tianmu-1 01 and 02 were launched, then on March 22, satellites 03–06, and on July 20, satellites 07–10, were launched. In order to provide a complete picture of the ocean, atmosphere, and ionosphere everywhere at all times, the Tianmu-1 satellite constellation intends to gather global atmosphere data.
With this launch on Monday, the Kuaizhou-1A carrier rockets will have completed their 23rd flight mission.
