Two-time Olympic medallist and renowned javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has entered a new chapter of his life—he is now married. On Sunday, Neeraj took to Instagram to share this joyous news with his followers. Alongside a heartfelt note, he wrote, “Starting a new chapter of life with my family. We are thankful for all the blessings that have led us to this point in time. Bound by love, happily ever after.” The post featured a series of pictures revealing his wife, Himani, who, according to Neeraj’s uncle, is currently pursuing her studies in the United States. In front of close relatives and friends, the couple exchanged vows in a small ceremony.

One of the pictures that quickly caught attention online was a touching moment of Neeraj’s mother blessing him during a traditional wedding ritual. Adding to the celebrations, Neeraj’s uncle confirmed that a reception will follow to mark the joyous occasion.

On the professional front, Neeraj Chopra is gearing up to bring a Continental Tour Javelin-Only competition to India, a first-of-its-kind event in the country. The prestigious competition has already received endorsements from World Athletics and the Athletics Federation of India (AFI). Though the date is yet to be finalized, reports suggest it is likely to take place in May this year. The event is expected to feature top javelin throwers from around the world, including India’s very own golden boy, Neeraj.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Chopra stated, “Organizing a world-class javelin competition in India has been a long-cherished dream of mine. With support from JSW Sports and the Athletics Federation of India, we are finally making it a reality. I am confident that both athletes and fans in India will create an unforgettable experience. I’m eager to see how far we can take this event.” The statement was shared via a release by JSW Sports Media.

Chopra also envisions this event becoming an annual highlight on the global athletics calendar. He hopes to expand its scope by including more track-and-field disciplines in future editions.

Parth Jindal, the founder of JSW Sports, expressed gratitude to the Athletics Federation of India for their unwavering support in bringing this landmark event to fruition. “The AFI has been instrumental in elevating the profile of track-and-field sports in India. Their collaboration and enthusiasm for this initiative demonstrate their commitment to the sport’s growth,” said Jindal.
