It allows users to safely connect to Windows 365 in a matter of seconds and is the first Cloud PC device created by Microsoft directly. About the size of a Mac Mini, the Windows 365 Link offers a unique approach to desktop computing, bypassing the need for a traditional operating system by streaming Windows entirely from the cloud. This innovative feature requires a reliable internet connection for the device to function effectively.

Targeted at desk-based professionals and shared workspace environments, the Windows 365 Link delivers a high-performance, cloud-driven experience. Despite its small and lightweight design, it offers powerful hardware capabilities, including support for dual 4K monitors, multiple USB ports, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. Its local processing ensures seamless video playback and crystal-clear video calls, making it ideal for modern workplaces. The reliance on cloud computing differentiates it from traditional desktops, as it stores no local data or applications, emphasizing connectivity as its core requirement.

Security has been a primary focus in the design of the Windows 365 Link. It features a locked-down operating system without local data or administrative access, significantly minimizing vulnerability to cyber threats. Enhanced security measures include passwordless authentication through Microsoft Entra ID, adherence to security baseline policies, and built-in tools like Secure Boot, Trusted Platform Module, and BitLocker encryption, ensuring a robust defense against potential breaches.
