After showcasing the much-anticipated Scram 440 at Motoverse 2024, Royal Enfield has officially launched the motorcycle, pricing it at Rs. 2.08 lakh for the entry-level Trail variant. This makes it only Rs. 1,300 pricier than its predecessor, the Scram 411. Meanwhile, the premium Force variant has been introduced at Rs. 2.15 lakh (both prices ex-showroom), offering additional features for riders seeking an upgraded experience.

The Scram 440 is powered by a newly developed 443cc, air and oil-cooled engine, capable of delivering 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm and a peak torque of 34Nm at 4,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, making it a more refined option for long-distance touring enthusiasts. The increase in engine displacement and the addition of the sixth gear aim to improve its performance on highways and challenging terrains alike.

The Trail variant is equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped in tube-type tyres, ideal for those who enjoy off-road adventures. The top-tier Force variant, on the other hand, features alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, offering enhanced convenience and reduced maintenance concerns. Suspension duties across both variants are managed by telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, ensuring a smooth ride. Braking is facilitated by single disc brakes at both ends, bolstered by switchable dual-channel ABS for improved safety.

Visually, the Scram 440 retains much of the design language of the Scram 411, with elements like a classic round headlight surrounded by a compact cowl, a robust fuel tank, and a streamlined tail section. The motorcycle also debuts new color options, including Force Teal, Force Grey, Force Blue, Trail Green, and Trail Blue, adding a fresh aesthetic appeal.

Additional updates include an LED headlight for better visibility, a redesigned front brake system for improved stopping power, and modern touring-focused features. Competing directly with the Triumph Scrambler 400X and Yezdi Scrambler, the Scram 440 positions itself as a versatile and stylish choice for riders who demand performance and capability in their two-wheeled adventures.
