1. Tata Nexon ICNG

With so many options for its gasoline, diesel, and electric powertrains, the Nexon is already incredibly adaptable. Tata now intends to increase this even further and will shortly launch the Nexon’s ICNG version. Earlier in the year, at the Bharat Mobility Expo, this concept was already on display. This will be the first vehicle in India to use a turbocharged gasoline engine combined with compressed natural gas (CNG).

Tata has adopted the twin-cylinder configuration, which was initially seen in the Punch and Altroz models some time ago. Utilizing the benefits of this technology and offering a useful 230-liter boot capacity, Tata will use the same configuration as the Nexon CNG. This can be achieved by positioning two 60-liter cylinders next to one another. Under the body, there is a spare wheel accessible, and the cylinders are perfectly incorporated and out of sight.

To ensure maximum safety and dependability, the system has great safety features like heat incident prevention and leak detection capabilities. The popular 1.2L three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which normally produces 120 PS and 170 Nm of torque, will power the Nexon CNG. It will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission, while an automatic transmission (AMT) may also be available.

2. Tata Curvv EV

The Tata Curvv and Curvv EV have been observed testing throughout the nation on multiple occasions since the production version of the vehicle was originally shown at the 2024 Bharat Mobility event. It was recently reported that the SUV coupe’s electric version will launch around April 2025.

Although the actual details of the SUV coupe’s battery pack and motor are still undisclosed, a 500 km stated range is anticipated. A 12.3-inch floating touchscreen system, sunroof, heated front seats, and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display are among the features anticipated for the Curvv EV.

A 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, up to six airbags, and other standard safety features are expected to be included in the EV’s arrival, along with some advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) features including lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control (ESC).
