Canadian rap superstar Drake has officially rewritten Billboard history after “Janice STFU” opened at No. 1 on the Hot 100, allowing him to move past Michael Jackson for the highest number of chart-topping singles ever earned by a solo male performer.
Following the latest achievement, Drake now stands tied with Rihanna and Taylor Swift for the second-most No. 1 hits among all artists, with 14 leaders each. Only Mariah Carey, who owns 19 chart-toppers, and The Beatles, who lead with 20, remain ahead of the trio.
The rapper also established another major milestone by setting a new record for the most songs charting in a single week. Drake floods the Hot 100 with 42 entries, overtaking Morgan Wallen’s previous 2025 benchmark of 37 songs. Before that, Wallen had broken his own earlier mark of 36 entries in one frame. Wallen and Taylor Swift previously shared the third-highest total after both artists debuted 32 songs on the chart in 2025 and 2024, respectively. Drake’s former personal best had been 27 entries back in 2018.
Inside the current top 10, Drake occupies nine positions, with Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” being the lone non-Drake song remaining in the region at No. 5. The newest feat increases his career total of Hot 100 top 10 hits to an unprecedented 90 songs. He additionally becomes the very first artist ever to surpass 400 total career entries on the Billboard Hot 100.
The chart dominance arrives during the massive rollout of Drake’s recently released three-album run consisting of “Iceman,” “Maid of Honour,” and “Habibti,” all of which dropped on May 15. Drake had spent close to two years teasing “Iceman,” previewing tracks during livestream appearances before the music officially arrived on digital streaming platforms. During his fourth livestream session, only hours before the album launch, he surprised fans by announcing that two additional projects — “Maid of Honour” and “Habibti” — would be released alongside it.
The trio of albums also delivered a historic moment on the Billboard album rankings over the weekend, as “Iceman,” “Habibti,” and “Maid of Honour” entered the Billboard 200 at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 simultaneously. “Iceman” moved 463,000 equivalent album units during its debut week, securing Drake’s 15th No. 1 album overall. The accomplishment pushed him beyond Jay-Z for the most chart-topping albums among solo male artists and R&B/hip-hop acts. Drake also drew level with Taylor Swift for the highest number of Billboard 200 No. 1 albums among solo performers, with only The Beatles remaining ahead thanks to their record-setting 19 leaders.
