Happy National Day to the United Arab Emirates!
The present Doodle honors the United Arab Emirates’ National Day in celebration of the date in 1971 when the six little Gulf kingdoms of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah, and Umm Al-Quwain consolidated to frame one federation.
A seventh emirate, Ras Al Khaimah, was incorporated into the association early the next year, finishing the arrangement of the country known today.
Portrayed in the present Doodle artwork is the flag of the UAE, which was officially embraced the very day the initial six emirates were merged in 1971.
The flag’s design includes the four Pan-Arab colors of red, green, white, and black that initially follow back to a centuries-old poem and highlight prominently on a large number of the flags of the district.
Each shading is likewise said to give proper respect to a vital component of the UAE’s character—the white signifies harmony, the black speaks to the nation’s strength of mind, the green represents fertility, and the red represents bravery and solidarity.
