The Oberoi Group has unveiled plans for two luxurious new resorts in Rishikesh, further solidifying its reputation for excellence in hospitality. One of the upcoming properties will be an 80-key luxury Oberoi Resort, which will bear the prestigious “Vilas” name, a signature of unparalleled luxury and personalized service. The second, a sophisticated 120-key five-star hotel, will be introduced under the Trident brand. Both resorts will be managed by EIH Limited, the flagship company of The Oberoi Group.

Sprawled across a breathtaking 60-acre site embraced by the sacred Ganges on three sides, these upcoming retreats promise a sanctuary of tranquility in one of India’s most spiritually revered locations. The luxury Oberoi Vilas Resort and the Trident Resort are being developed by Devprayag Ganges Resorts and Jamuna Hotel Enterprises, respectively, both entities of The Ladhani Group. Globally acclaimed architect Bill Bensley has been entrusted with designing these properties, ensuring they seamlessly integrate the grandeur of modern luxury with the natural splendor and spiritual significance of Rishikesh.

These new projects are part of EIH Limited’s ambitious expansion strategy, which includes a total of 19 upcoming properties. Among these, the portfolio consists of 16 hotels, two opulent riverboats, and an exclusive Nile cruiser, all set to be operational by 2029. The announcement comes at a time when EIH Limited is witnessing remarkable financial growth, having recorded its highest-ever Q3 performance. Standalone revenue reached ₹722 crore, while consolidated revenue soared to ₹831 crore. The company also achieved an EBITDA of ₹330 crore (standalone) and ₹388 crore (consolidated), with a PAT of ₹220 crore and ₹279 crore, reflecting an 18% and 21% increase, respectively. Domestic hotels under EIH, both owned and managed, reported a 17% year-on-year RevPAR growth, reinforcing its dominance in India’s luxury hospitality sector.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the collaboration, S.N. Ladhani, Chairman of The Ladhani Group & SLMG Beverages, highlighted the significance of partnering with The Oberoi Group, a brand synonymous with legendary hospitality. He emphasized the cultural and natural richness of Rishikesh and reiterated his commitment to developing world-class resorts that celebrate the region’s beauty while delivering unparalleled guest experiences. Under his guidance, this prestigious project will be led by his grandchildren, Simran Ladhani and Rachit Ladhani.

Arjun Oberoi, Executive Chairman of The Oberoi Group, reaffirmed the brand’s dedication to expanding into remarkable destinations. He expressed confidence that the partnership with The Ladhani Group, combined with Bill Bensley’s artistic vision, would result in two truly exceptional retreats that embody luxury, tranquility, and the signature Oberoi experience. Echoing this sentiment, Vikram Oberoi, CEO & MD of The Oberoi Group, highlighted the brand’s commitment to crafting extraordinary hotels that seamlessly blend luxury, culture, and heritage while maintaining strong financial performance.

With meticulous planning already in motion, the construction of these highly anticipated resorts is expected to commence in early 2026, marking yet another milestone in The Oberoi Group’s legacy of redefining luxury hospitality.
