The 1.2L Revotron petrol mill, which is a well-known engine, is used in the CNG-spec Nexon, which Tata Motors has revealed would be available in India for Rs. 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it the first CNG vehicle with a turbocharged petrol engine. Compared to the entry-level Smart model, the Smart+ trim is Rs. 70,000 more expensive.

As you move up the pricing range, the Pure and Pure S versions cost Rs. 10.69 lakh and Rs. 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Smart+ sunroof costs Rs. 9.99 lakh. The sticker price of the most expensive Creative trim, the Creative+, is Rs. 12.19 lakh, while the top-spec Creative trim is Rs. 11.69 lakh. The ex-showroom pricing of the fully equipped Fearless+ PS is Rs. 14.59 lakh.

The domestic company has unsurprisingly showcased the Nexon CNG in a wide array of configurations; it was first seen at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 earlier this year. Twin cylinder technology is a feature shared by the most current generation of Tata CNG cars, including the Nexon CNG. With strong sales figures recently, the company has been benefiting from expanding its CNG offering.

With a CNG option already available, the Tata Punch is now the best-selling vehicle in the brand’s lineup.

The Tata Nexon CNG’s useful 230-liter cargo room is made possible by the placement of two 60-liter (equal to water) cylinders side by side. The spare wheel is mounted underneath the car, and the toolkit is kept in the allocated storage space. These cylinders are all perfectly integrated and hidden. In addition, the factory-installed CNG system has a number of safety features.

The kit includes a single ECU unit, a six-point cylinder mounting system, a micro switch, and premium materials. The same 1.2L Revotron turbocharged gasoline engine from the standard model is still present. To improve fuel efficiency, the power and torque figures have been reduced.
