Two months after revealing the exterior, Citroen Europe has presented the C3 Aircross in Euro specification. Although the India-spec vehicle and the European Citroen C3 Aircross have similar mechanical components, both versions have very different design languages. As anticipated, the European version of the car has a drastically different layout from the India-spec model and has a ton more amenities. Additionally, an electric drivetrain with a 300 km range is included.

The C3 crossover that was introduced in Europe last year and the new Citroen C3 Aircross share the same Smart Car platform. The exterior features the brand’s new design language, which includes a more upright nose, distinctive LED DRLs, and the new Citroen emblem, in contrast to the India-spec vehicle.

The main revelation for the C3 Aircross in Europe is the cabin. Featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and other features, the cabin’s layout is similar to that of the C3 crossover. Similar to India, the model is available in five- and seven-seater configurations. The Euro-spec model, however, is equipped with a head-up display instead of the traditional instrument console. The 460-liter boot of the five-seater model is available.

The five-seater variant of the Euro-spec Citroen C3 Aircross receives an electrified drivetrain. The 111 horsepower electric motor is powered by a 44 kWh lithium-ion battery, which has a range of more than 300 km. A maximum speed of 135 kmph is set. Citroen claims that a 7 kW charger can charge a vehicle to 20–80% capacity in 4 hours and 10 minutes. The charging time will be cut to 2 hours 50 minutes using an 11 kW charger. The 100 kW DC fast charging that can cut the charging time from 20 to 80 percent to 26 minutes is compatible with the electric SUV. Citroen also stated that a bigger capacity battery with a range of more than 400 kilometers is being developed and will be available.

Additionally, a 48-volt mild hybrid system and an electrified double-clutch automatic transmission are available for the 1.2-liter turbocharged pure gasoline and 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline models. In contrast, only the 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine is available in manual and automatic variants for the C3 Aircross built in India.
