When the Royal Enfield Scram 440 first arrived in India, it cost ₹2.08 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as the Himalayan-based Scram 411’s replacement, the Scram 440 boasts a larger 443cc engine, more power, improved amenities, and new color options. Last year, it was originally shown at Motoverse.
Royal Enfield Scram 440 Launched With Alloy Wheels and New Color Options
Most of the Scram 440’s visual elements from its predecessor, the Scram 411, are still there, including the single-piece seat, wraparound panel surrounding the headlamp, sculpted fuel tank, taillamps, and rear mudguard. The headlight and taillight on the Scram 440 are LED units. The alloy wheels (available in the Force model) and new color schemes are the only visual changes made to the new motorcycle. Additionally, the motorcycle receives the same part-digital, part-analogue cluster.
A center stand is now a standard accessory on the Scram 440, which is a noteworthy update. In comparison to the Scram 411, the new model’s length and wheelbase have been slightly increased by 5 mm. The bike offers a new range of possibilities for fans with its five color schemes: Force Blue, Force Grey, Force Teal, Trail Green, and Trail Blue.

The motorcycle’s rear subframe has been strengthened, but the Scram 440 is still mechanically constructed on a split cradle frame. The suspension system is the same as previously, consisting of a rear monoshock and a 41 mm telescopic fork arrangement. Both a 240 mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper and a 300 mm front disc with a two-piston floating caliper are still used for braking. Instead of being 26 mm/26 mm like its predecessor, the front calipers are now 30 mm/32 mm in size.
The previous model did not have switchable ABS, but the Scram 440 does. It still has a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, but tubeless tires are now an option. The new variant is 2 kg heavier than the Scram 411, weighing 187 kg without gasoline.
Powering the Royal Enfield Scram 440 is a 443cc engine
A long-stroke single-cylinder 443 cc engine, which is effectively a significantly modified version of the earlier 411 cc engine with a 3 mm increase in bore, powers the new motorcycle’s powertrain. The new engine produces 25.4 horsepower at 6250 rpm and 34 Nm at 4000 rpm, which is 0.9 horsepower and 2 Nm more than the previous one. The old model’s five-speed gearbox has been replaced by a six-speed gearbox that is linked to the new engine.
The Scram 440 will be available from Royal Enfield in two versions: Trail and Force. Their respective prices are 2.08 lakh and 2.15 lakh. Ex-showroom costs apply to both.
