The Glorious version, a special version of the Camry, has been introduced in China by the GAC Toyota joint venture. Pricing starting at 202,800 yuan (Rs. 23.73 lakh), this version has a self-charging hybrid drivetrain and a number of distinctive design and feature enhancements meant to spark interest in the vehicle again.
This new model aims to revive the Camry’s appeal in the face of fierce competition in the Chinese market with a hybrid drivetrain and improved looks. The Glorious Edition stands out thanks to its unique Matte Grey body color, blacked-out Toyota symbol, and Camry boot branding. The sedan has a sleek body package with a black grille, front splitter, rear diffuser, and lip spoiler to further enhance its athletic image.
The car has 19-inch alloy wheels, which is a significant change from its normal counterparts and adds to its muscular stance. The interior of the cabin, which combines velvet and real leather upholstery, radiates an air of sophistication. The patterned dashboard and door cards add visual interest, while the ambient lighting system gives a palette of 64 colors.
Along with a panoramic sunroof and a head-up display, high-end equipment like a Dynaudio sound system and two 12.3-inch displays—one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster—are also included. The 2025 Toyota Camry Glorious Edition’s engine makes use of Toyota’s dependable hybrid technology.
An electric motor and a 2.0L normally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine provide a combined output of 197 PS and 188 Nm of torque. The Japanese automaker recently debuted the ninth-generation Camry in India, retailing for Rs. 48 lakh (ex-showroom).
It costs Rs. 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom) more than the previous model. With a lengthy wheelbase of 2,825 mm, the premium sedan has dimensions of 4,920 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,455 mm in height. It has a spacious 500-liter boot as well.
