Adobe has announced a major expansion of its Adobe Fonts library, adding over 1,500 new typefaces to its collection, now available to all paid Creative Cloud users at no additional cost. This update not only increases the font variety significantly but also broadens linguistic accessibility by introducing enhanced support for 10 Indian languages.
Although countless fonts are available across various platforms and word processors, professional creators and graphic designers are typically limited to using typefaces that are properly licensed-either by themselves or by their software provider. Failing to comply with licensing terms could result in copyright violations or breach of usage agreements. That’s why a trusted and legally cleared font library like Adobe Fonts is invaluable for creative professionals.
“With more than 30,000 fonts, Adobe Fonts stands as one of the most dynamic and flexible font resources available to designers, artists, and content creators across the globe. Whether you’re working on print materials, digital interfaces, or multilingual projects, Adobe Fonts ensures you always have the perfect typography at your fingertips,” Adobe stated in its official release.
This latest update includes some of the most iconic and widely used typefaces in the design world, such as Helvetica, Times New Roman, Avenir, Arial, Gotham, and Proxima Nova-all sourced through Monotype. These classic fonts, renowned for their clean aesthetics and professional appeal, are now seamlessly integrated into the Adobe Fonts ecosystem.
Additionally, Adobe has expanded its language support to include several widely spoken Indian languages: Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Oriya, and Urdu. This move makes it easier for designers working in regional markets to produce content that is culturally and linguistically appropriate.
In a celebratory blog post, Adobe shared, “If you’re a fan of Helvetica, obsessed with Arial, or nostalgic for Times New Roman-your day just got a whole lot better. This is our biggest font addition in five years, and best of all, it’s completely free for Creative Cloud subscribers.”
